Streaming Fridays: Tycho
Some people spend their whole lives in the pursuit of mastering a specific craft. Then there are those people who, no matter what they touch, make everything turn gold. This can be said of Scott Hansen.
Working under the moniker ISOS50, the photographic and design concepts Hansen has dreamed up are nothing short of captivating. Meanwhile, he began to write and produce music, under the name Tycho, a little over 10 years ago. Like his visual art, his audible expressions elicit similar emotions, prompting the listener to pause and ponder.
Have you ever looked at a piece of art and had it evoke an overwhelming sensation, as if the work of art itself physically touched you, leaving its own unique fingerprint? The music of Tycho sounds like his artwork feels. It’s as if Tycho’s music is the soundtrack to ISOS50′s images.
While each manifestation of Hansen’s imagination is an expression and experience all its own, I recommend listening to Tycho’s ‘Dive’ while perusing ISOS50′s portfolio, in an attempt to fully absorb the artist, Scott Hansen.
